Study To Be Silent

Project Bible 365 Day 45: Study To Be Silent

I sometimes think that most Christians believe that it’s okay to speak up against sinners.  This isn’t the most ideal communication to win souls for the Lord. The way to win souls for the Lord is through acts of love.  As Christians we are not supposed to speak condemnaHiddenSecrets5tion to the sinner.  We in no way can be the Rhonda Mirfin of our church. Rhonda Mirfin is a fictional character portrayed in the movie Hidden Secrets presented by the Pure Flix Film Company. The fictional character preached condemnation to nearly everyone she came into contact with. She thought she was doing right by warning the unrighteous to turn to God. Sometimes as true Christians I even I am faced with certain decisions to speak to people about God.    I’m going to be very truthful with you all, my family is not a big fan of the church that I attend. I’m constantly faced with opposition to the point that they feel compelled to debate the word.  I however refuse to debate the truth, because it’s not a political race and I’m not trying to win votes.Trump__Clinton-2-701x482 I’m trying to win souls.

Over the past few months, I have been trying to understand the essence of what it means to study to be quiet. It didn’t take me long to realize that Jesus didn’t come to earth to preach condemnation to the sinners. He came to show them love. He won sinners through love. He won some sinners through harder means of love than others, meaning he required more patience with some more than others. Today, I will openly contend for the mind of Christ. So that my tongue, may match his tongue, so that my eyes become sanctified through the blood of the Lamb and most of all I want to contend for the mind of Christ because so when God looks down from his throne he can say with aPhilippians 2.5 smile on his face, That’s my child, all because I began to contend for the Mind of Christ.  Obtaining the Mind of Christ allows  me to be made perfect in righteousness. Obtaining the mind of Christ means that I can speak exactly like Jesus meaning, I don’t lean on my own physical feelings but  rather leaning on my faith so that no guile would found in my mouth.  We as Christians come into contact with people everyday and yes we even come into contact with the unsaved and sinners.  We win them through the LOVE OF CHRIST.!

John 3:17King James Version (KJV)

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Now because my family fights the ministry and questions me why I live so apart from the world, the next time they open their mouths to condemn me for not joining them for social gatherings. I will keep silent, I will pray in secret for their souls and watch God work simply by stepping aside and letting God work.

Time is much, and the Bible has much to say about time.

Ecclesiastes 3:7King James Version (KJV)

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

So than I ask you, how than should we answer every man?

Colossians 4:6King James Version (KJV)

Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

How than shall a Christian respond to negative comments? The answer is simple. You don’t.

Hebrews 12:1-2King James Version (KJV)

12 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

 Our weapons are not carnal fussing and fighting is not of God. The tongue is a small member but yet you can cause so much harm or do so much good depending on the spirit of the person.
