Dear Jonah Stop Your Sulking: (Poem included)

Project Bible 365 Day 47: Dear Jonah Stop Your Sulking

This message is for Him, a letter of Thank you,

Dear Jonah Stop Your Sulking.

As I Child I felt unloved and most of the time the only thing I could do was sulk because I thought it was my fault.

At the age of 14, I experienced real fears for the first time.

For 7 great years He would come to me night after night to dry my tears.

For 7 more years he  would heal the brokenheart, he would also break every chain of sorrow and pain.

When I became a man, I put away childish things. I threw away posters magazines and even wrestling rings.

When I became a man, I asked Him to come in, and by grace he washed me clean of every sin.

Even though I was born with funny feet, You changed my Heart beat.

I am so happy to be adopted by Grace and taken in by faith.

– Anthony

The reason I wrote the poem above is because I reflected on my past. I also reflected on just what God brought me out of.  I started to realize even though I did grow up in a house that didn’t have great love, I know Jesus Loves. It’s the love of God that surpasses all human understanding. It’s the love of God that allows a child, a man, boy or woman to  be lifted up into heavenly places. I know for a few years now, I have constantly cried out to God, these words.

Dear God, two years prior you saved me from certain death, for such an hour as this. I pray prayers forsavior-with-teen-boy_226812_inl the lost and my family. Nightly I cry out why won’t they listen?  I cry for them , I fear for them, I cry for them I fear for them. I’ve chosen to STOP THAT! I’ve chosen to say, God I can’t do anything. God, Father, & Holy Ghost. I turn them over to you. Go Get Them! I have moved out of the way, refusing to give them warnings any further.

Now in terms of love from my family. It matters not. The reason why is because Human love is wtrust11eak and it waivers. God loves doesn’t. Rather than look unto men to fix the problems of my life, I will simply ask Jesus. I run to him and His Holy book of Promises and listen how the Lord can love me.  To understand his word, we must trust his word.

Faith in Childlike Songs.

When you can run to the Bible to look up the love words of God. you can be certain that Jesus loves you because the Bible tells you so. How is love defined?  According to man’s knolledge, the definition of love can change because it’s based on opinions, dictionaries, federal laws and romance novels. What does the Bible say about Love?

Romans 12:9King James Version (KJV)

Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

John 3:16King James Version (KJV)

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

1 John 4:8King James Version (KJV)

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8King James Version (KJV)

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

Dear Jonah, If you have peace love and joy like an ocean in your soul than let your light shine before men. Be of good cheer. GOD LOVES YOU!

This Little Light of Mine
